Volvo to complete delivery of up to 105 battery electric buses to Warrington by end of March

UKVolvo Group UK & Ireland Ltd of Warwick, UK has fulfilled approximately half of an order for 105 battery electric buses which was placed in 2023 by Warrington’s Own Buses, a municipal bus company serving several towns in the Cheshire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside regions of northern England.

To date, Warrington has put 56 of the Volvo ‘BZL Electric’ buses on the road, and it aims to deploy the remainder by the end of March. The electric buses, comprising a mixture of single and double deckers, are bodied by Egyptian firm MCV. They will be supported by 53 ABB chargers which are being managed by British EV infrastructure firm EO Charging.
