Mercedes-Benz new CV chassis plant in Zárate to start in Q1/2026

Argentina - Mercedes-Benz Camiones y Buses Ltda of Argentina is constructing a new manufacturing plant for truck and bus chassis in the industrial hub in Zárate, Buenos Aires with start of production scheduled for beginning in quarter one of 2026.

The new production unit is being built for the manufacture of Accelo and Atego trucks, and Mercedes-Benz’s OH and OF bus chassis. The new plant - which is part of major investments in its CV operations in Argentina over a two/three-year period totalling some USD110m, including a new warehouse distribution centre and remanufacturing facilities - was formerly announced in April last year.
