Indian cement company orders 100 ‘Rhino’ electric trucks

Ultratech adds 100 electric trucks from IPLTech Electric to its fleet.

India – UltraTech Cement Ltd, Mumbai, India's largest cement and ready-mix cement supplier, has ordered 100 electric trucks (Rhino 5536E¹), produced by heavy-duty start up IPLTech Electric Pvt Ltd of Gurgaon (a Murugappa Group company).

Secured through a transport service contract, UltraTech expects to transport 75,000 metric tonnes (MT) of clinker per month on a route spanning approximately 400 km (roundtrip), connecting its Dhar Cement Works in Madhya Pradesh to Dhule Cement Works in Maharashtra.
