VECV opens new light e-truck line in Bhopal - starts delivery of Eicher Pro X truck light e-truck

New Eicher Pro-X comes off the production line in Bhopal, India
India – January saw commercial vehicle manufacturer, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur inaugurate a new dedicated manufacturing facility and commence delivery of the first batch of Eicher Pro X1 light duty e-trucks to customers in Bhopal. Interestingly, the vehicles are assembled by an all-women team on the final assembly line.
The new Bhopal facility, which was officially opened by Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of the Volvo Group, along with Siddhartha Lal, Eicher Motors’ Chairman, and Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV, underscores VECV’s dedication to advancing commercial vehicle manufacturing in India, the company stated. The production lines are heavily automated and these lines and its new paint shop has been installed using the latest in environmental planning and manufacturing practices.
