Pacton develops dual snowplough trailer for Swiss road operator

Netherlands / Switzerland – Pacton Trailers BV of Ommen, Netherlands has developed a winter service trailer for a Swiss road operator which is fitted with two separate snow ploughs, allowing the vehicle to clear two lanes simultaneously.
In addition to a snow plough at the front of the truck, a second plough is attached to the side of the Pacton salt spreader trailer, measuring 5.5 metres in length. With the combination of the two snow ploughs, a clearing width of 8 metres in possible, allowing the operator to clear two motorway lanes at once. The second plough is mounted on a standard attachment plate within the trailer’s wheelbase and can be extended and retracted hydraulically, or locked for quick attachment and detachment.
