Wrightbus receives first order for ‘Rightech’-branded bus

UKWrightbus Ltd of Ballymena, UK has announced the first order for its ‘Rightech’-branded midibus – a 6-metre battery electric model – for a demand-responsive public transport service in the English county of Kent.

The 6-metre bus will be deployed by Go-Coachhire Ltd (“Go-Coach”), a private operator which provides transport services for Kent County Council. It will serve in Ebbsfleet Valley, an area of major urban development between the towns of Dartford and Gravesend. Twenty-eight electric buses will be put into service on a new Bus Rapid Transit route with funding from government-owned National Highways; the Rightech midibus will be used on demand where necessary.
