Egypt / Norway – After signing a fuel cell engine supply agreement with Ballard Power Systems Inc, Egyptian bus builder MCV has signed a deal with Hexagon Purus ASA of Oslo, Norway, to supply hydrogen tanks (Type 4) for its upcoming fuel cell buses. Hexagon’s Type 4 hydrogen cylinders store hydrogen at 350 bar and are designed specifically for use in buses.

These hydrogen storage tanks will be produced at the Hexagon Purus facility in Kassel, Germany and delivered this year. The order is worth EUR 2.4 million. This agreement will continue to help decarbonise the European public transport sector.
