Blue Energy Motors to invest USD420 million in Maharashtra EV truck plant

India – Blue Energy Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd* (Blue Energy Motors) has entered a strategic agreement with the Maharashtra State government to establish a large-scale electric truck manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 30,000 units. According to Blue Energy Motors the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalized during the World Economic Forum in Davos, signalling the company’s plans to move into mass production of electric commercial vehicles.

With a planned investment of USD 420 million, the facility will feature integrated capabilities including research and development, battery pack assembly, and motor manufacturing. The project is slated to commence in the fiscal year 2025–26 and is expected to generate around 4,000 direct employment opportunities.
