KGM signs electric bus partnership in Indonesia

KG Mobility signs MoU with Indonesian defense contractor PT Pindad

South Korea - Vehicle maker, KG Mobility (KGM) Company, headquartered in Pyeongtaek-si, has signed an agreement with Indonesian state-owned defense contractor, PT Pindad to collaborate in the development and production of battery-powered electric buses for the Indonesian market.

The two companies signed a memorandum at Pindad’s headquarters in Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, with the event attended by KGM chairman, Kwak Jea-sun and CEO, Hwang Ki-young, along with Pindad CEO, Sigit P Santosa. The agreement focuses on two key areas: the local assembly of KGM’s Rexton SUV and the development and production of battery-powered buses for the Indonesian market.
