VECV wins major order of 1,663 buses from UPSRTC

India – Commercial vehicle manufacturer, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur has received an order for 1,621 buses and 42 heavy-duty trucks from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). The order includes 1,344 non-air conditioned (AC) diesel buses and 197 AC diesel buses, 80 CNG bus chassis, and 42 logistics trucks. All of the full bodied vehicles with be built by VECV at Baggad, Madhya Pradesh.
The non-AC buses include Skyline Pro 3011 L* and 3010 L* models with the E494 4-cylinder, 3,770 cc 160hp (120kW) and 180hp BSVI engine. The CNG fleet features Eicher Pro 6016*** buses powered by 180hp (150kW) E694 engines and Domex steel chassis. Eicher Pro 3019**** trucks are also fitted with E494 engines.
