Japan Hitachi Ltd of Tokyo, Japan, has announced the launch of its new fleet management platform, Hitachi ZeroCarbon, aimed at helping commercial vehicle operators transition to zero-emission fleets while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability. The software is set to debut in select markets in late 2025, with full commercial rollout anticipated by early 2026. Delivered through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, the platform allows businesses to subscribe based on fleet size and feature requirements, offering scalability and cost efficiency without the need for significant upfront investment.

Hitachi ZeroCarbon leverages cutting-edge telematics, GPS tracking, and AI-powered analytics to support route planning, vehicle monitoring, and energy management. By collecting real-time data from both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles, the platform delivers insights on route performance, energy consumption, trip planning, and compliance with CO₂ legislation.
