UK / South Korea – Last month at RTX (24-26 June at the NAEC Stoneleigh, in Warwickshire, UK), South Korean tyre manufacturer, Kumho Tire Co., Inc, based in Gwangju, South Korea, made its UK show debut presenting five commercial vehicle tyre models (XA31, XD31, XS10, MD41, and MA12) designed specifically for steer, drive, all-position, mixed-use, and regional applications respectively. According to company representatives, these CV models “focus on safety, fuel economy, and multi-life casing durability, designed for retreading and extended ROI”.

The spotlight was on the XD31 drive-axle tyre, featuring 3D interlocking sipes, “RevealiX Groove” technology for sustained grip, dual tie-bars for stability and a low-rolling-resistance compound to reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. Equally prominent was the XA31 all-position tyre, boasting a directional tread, balanced wear bridge, noise-reducing compound, and enhanced stone ejection for extended life across mixed fleets.
