Farizon appoints distributor for Brazil with plans of truck sales from September

Brazil / China - Farizon, the electric commercial vehicle brand name of China’s Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, represented in Brazil by experienced CV and construction vehicle distributor, the Timber Group, based in São Paulo, has announced that it will begin selling electric vans and trucks from September. Produced in China, the first imported vehicles are to consist of 200 units made up of the V6E, SuperVAN and H9E truck models. By the end of the year, the company expects to have some 500 units in operation on the Brazilian market.
Farizon said it has appointed the Timber Group as its distributor in Brazil, and that the Timber Group has already committed to investing some BRA40 million (USD7 million) in distribution and aftersales operations for the Farizon brand. To serve the Southeast region it is appointing eight distribution points of sale; the first Farizon dealership will be in Curitiba, with its inauguration scheduled for September. The Timber Group will sell Farizon models via its established network in the South Region, by sharing space and premises with other (non-conflicting brands) such as Randon trailers, Ponsse and Sany as well as other brands.
