Hungary / Germany – Commercial vehicle brake and components manufacturer Knorr-Bremse AG, based in Munich, Germany, is expanding its Hungarian plant in Kecskemét through a EUR 80 million investment over the next three years. The move supports rising demand for advanced commercial vehicle technologies in Europe. With this expansion, Knorr-Bremse plans to build a new 15,000 m² facility that will house high-tech manufacturing, logistics and office space, adding significant capacity and capability to the existing site. The company also aims to bolster its automation and digitisation capabilities, helping to increase efficiency, resilience, and sustainability across its European manufacturing network. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with the new facility scheduled to open in 2027.
