Mercedes-Benz do Brasil offers latest in fleet management technology

Mercedes-Benz unveils 'fleetbus' a new fleet management system for buses

Brazil - FleetBus is the name of the latest telemetry and connectivity system for bus fleet management to be offered by Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo. Developed exclusively in Brazil, it offers the widest range of vehicle performance analysis yet together with preventive and predictive maintenance.

Among the advantages provided by FleetBus to customers are the remote visualization of vehicle signals in real time, management of faults and geolocated events, creation and customization of driving, maintenance and safety events, as well as reduction of maintenance diagnosis time. The system's features also include electronic fences for speed monitoring, maps of route travelled, fuel consumption management, identification of driver behaviours that impact consumption and safety, and automatic transmission of reports by email. FleetBus counts the number of activations of the buses' safety features, such as ACC (adaptive cruise control), AEBS (emergency braking system), LDWS (lane warning system), ESP (electronic stability control) and several others. In addition to safety and security, the system also monitors performance, economy and other items, such as failures and downtimes that can be avoided based on accurate information in real time.
