UK – Battery recycling firm Ecobat Technologies Ltd, (majority-owned by EB Holdings II, Inc) based in Derbyshire,  has completed the sale of its European battery distribution division to UK private equity firm Endless LLP of Leeds for an undisclosed fee. Ecobat’s European battery distribution division was the arm of the business responsible for selling and distributing batteries (mainly lead-acid, but also lithium) to customers across Europe and had nothing to do with battery recycling.

The transaction has already closed and is fully effective as of the end of June 2025 . The divested business serves a broad customer base across Europe, encompassing commercial vehicle operators, automotive aftermarket, marine, leisure and industrial clients. Ecobat faced growing strategic demands to focus on its core recycling mission, and the sale aligns with its goal to shed non‑core assets and streamline operations.
