The Philippines / China – This month (August) saw Forland Motors Ltd, a Chinese CV brand based in Changsha, Hunan, China, deliver more than 260 mini- and light-duty trucks to local transport company, Yimi Cargo* in Angeles city, the Philippines, chinatrucks.org reports. The vehicles were delivered by Foton’s distribution partner, QSJ Motors Philippines Inc, which also has its headquarters in Angeles.

Two truck models were delivered, the Forland T5 minitruck and Forland L5 light truck. The T5 mini trucks are designed for urban “last-mile” delivery applications, are equipped with Dougan-derived engines design-engineered by Germany’s FEV and are offered in gross weights from 2.5 tons to 4.5 tons. The trucks feature lightweight bodies and low cargo beds to facilitate easy loading and unloading. The L5 light trucks are also powered by engines developed using German FEV technology, designed to serve distribution transport needs and are rated between 6.5- and 9-tons gross vehicle weight (GVW). The light trucks feature extra-wide cargo bodies capable of holding two rows of pallets side by side.
