Karsan expands electric bus fleet in Romania

Romania / Turkey – Turkish bus manufacturer, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Tic AŞ (“Karsan”) of Bursa, announced that it has secured several contracts in Romania to supply fully electric buses through its local distributor, Anadolu Automobile Rom (AAR). These orders continue Karsan’s expansion into Central and Eastern Europe.

In early 2025, the city of Constanța ordered 22 e-ATA 12-metre electric buses, with deliveries scheduled during the year. This follows a 2024 contract from Botoșani for 38 e-ATA 10-metre buses and a smaller order for 6 e-JEST minibuses in Alba Iulia.
