Mercedes-Benz to start customer trials of eActros and eCanter trucks from September in Brazil

Brazil - Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo is to begin customer testing of two of its battery electric truck models, the medium and semi-heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 and eActros 400 trucks and the light duty FUSO eCanter truck, later this year. Forming part of part Daimler Truck's global portfolio, the eActros is produced in Germany, while the FUSO eCanter is produced in Japan and Portugal.

Three configurations of the eActros models* are to be offered for customer testing: rigid 6x2 trucks at 19 and 27 tons of gross vehicle weight (GVW) with 336 kWh and 448 kWh battery packs and a 4x2 tractor unit with 336 kWh battery pack at 40 tons gcvw.
