Carrier Transicold launches UK training programme to address refrigeration skills gap

Carrier Transicold UK training programme

UK / France - Carrier Transicold UK, based in Warrington (part of Carrier Global Corporation) has launched a new training programme in the UK aimed at developing the next generation of transport refrigeration engineers. The initiative began in 2025 at its dedicated training centre in the Midlands, offering hands-on technical education to apprentices and early-career technicians.

The programme was created in response to a growing shortage of qualified refrigeration engineers, especially as the industry transitions toward electric and sustainable cooling technologies. Courses focus on diagnostics, maintenance, and compliance, with modules covering both diesel and electric refrigeration systems.
