CEAT Launches ROCKRAD radial tyre for mining applications.
India - CEAT Ltd of Mumbai, has launched the ROCKRAD, its first radial tyre specifically engineered for mining and off-highway applications. With this product, CEAT is making a strategic push into a sector long dominated by bias tyres, aiming to bring radial technology advantages to demanding mining operations.
CEAT says that the ROCKRAD has been tested extensively in challenging terrains, ranging from Barbil in Odisha to mining locations in Indonesia, and is built to withstand the rigours of heavy load-haul and construction work. Among its key engineering features are an S-Type tread pattern that ensures better grip and even pressure distribution, along with a specially reinforced sidewall compound that provides resistance against cuts while retaining flexibility under load.
