Desa Auto to build hydrogen vehicle plant in Jiyuan, China

China - Chinese hydrogen technology company, Desa Auto (Beijing) Company Ltd, has signed an agreement to establish a production base in Jiyuan High-Tech Zone, in China’s Henan province, in partnership with Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology Company Ltd (SPTC), for the production of hydrogen fuel cell engines and new energy commercial vehicles.
Desa Auto already produces light-, medium-, and heavy-duty special-purpose vehicles (SPVs), including specialist construction and municipal trucks, from cab-chassis units supplied by mainstream OEMs. The company has a strong presence in a number of major Chinese provinces, including Henan and Guangdong, and in cities such as Beijing, generating annual revenues of over CNY 500 million.
