Foton inaugurates its truck assembly plant in Uganda
Uganda / China - Chinese truck manufacturer Beiqi Foton Motor Company Ltd (Foton) headquartered in Beijing, has officially opened its new commercial vehicle assembly plant in Kampala, Uganda, as the company steps up its expansion in the East African region.
The plant is seen as a significant boost to the country’s mainly agricultural-based economy, and its inauguration ceremony was attended by senior Ugandan government officials and Foton executives. At the event, Foton signed collaboration agreements with local logistics and transport companies to further strengthen its local market presence.
