Introduction of the BZRLE chassis further expands Volvo's urban electric bus offering in Brazil

Brazil - Last month, Volvo Buses Latin America Ltda of Curitiba, Paraná State, launched the Volvo BZRLE chassis in Brazil. The Volvo BZRLE chassis has a low-floor chassis suited to several major cities in Brazil that now only operate low floor designs because of the benefit to the passenger when boarding and disembarking - São Paulo, Goiânia, Brasília, and Porto Alegre, are examples.
“With this new configuration, we have the broadest portfolio of electric buses in the country,” said Alexandre Selski, head of electromobility at Volvo Buses in Latin America. Volvo offers a wide range of battery-powered chassis, including standard (BZL & BZR), low-floor (BZRLE), articulated BZRT, and bi-articulated BZRT models.
