The 2024 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham from 23 – 25 April, was a somewhat sombre affair without the truck OEMs, yet plenty of exhibitors turned up to display their new product offerings. Of course, the T&BB team was in attendance to bring you all the latest news from the show.

The company reported that sales of Maxus vans grew by 46% in 2023, while its battery electric vans took fourth place in the UK LCV-EV market, and it forecasts growth of 50% across all brands this year. 

The ‘eDeliver 7’ is a 3.5-tonne GVW battery-electric van model which is smaller and lighter than its sister product, the ‘eDeliver 9’.

Harris Maxus has moved from its old site in Warrington to the Gillmoss Industrial Estate in Liverpool: to a 52,000-square-foot premises which now houses 30 employees, including technical, distribution and sales staff, and a parts depot and warehouse.

The dealership location in Chesterfield will offer dedicated sales, servicing, and aftersales to Maxus customers.

Harris Automotive Distributors has confirmed its commitment to growing Maxus operations in the UK and plans to open a headquarters at Birchwood Park, Warrington – chosen for its quick access to motorway networks.

Importer and dealer, SAIC Maxus has announced the launch and availability of its latest battery-powered Maxus panel van, the Maxus eDeliver9, available at gross weights of 3.5t and 4.05t.
