USA - Motor Coach Industries (MCI) of Des Plaines, Illinois, a US subsidiary of Winnipeg-based NFI Group Inc has delivered its first 2019 specification J3500 coach model to Tuscaloosa Charter Service ahead of the vehicle's public launch in January 2019. It was back in September 2018, MCI announced it had developed the new 35ft coach in line with customer demand for smaller vehicles whilst retaining much the same package benefits provided by its J4500 model such as versatility, luxury and reliability, from which it is derived.

Pat Ziska, vice president of New Coach Sales, MCI, said: "The newest "J" delivers all aspects of our best-selling J4500 experience — parts interchangeability for savings — in a smaller coach that makes sense for groups of up to 44 passengers. That's become an attractive market in recent years and we're eager to address it."
