USA - Stoneridge Inc, of Novi, Michigan has entered a strategic partnership with Velociti Inc, a provider of technology deployment and support services based in Riverside, Missouri. Under this agreement, Stoneridge and Velociti plan to work together with commercial vehicle fleets to install and support MirrorEye Camera Monitor System (CMS) developed and manufactured by Stoneridge.

The move follows recent approval by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) of an exemption to federal law allowing MirrorEye to be installed as an alternative to conventional rear-vision mirrors currently required on all commercial motor vehicles in the United States. The exemption currently applies solely to Stoneridge's MirrorEye system - making it the only CMS allowing complete removal of traditional mirrors.
