Ziehl-Abegg attains 8.1% organic growth in global sales

Germany – Kuenzelsau-based motor and fan manufacturer, Ziehl-Abegg (ZA) has announced it has achieved another year of higher than average growth with sales increasing by 8.1% to EUR584m (provisional) compared with EUR540m in 2017. ZA claims sales figures were driven mainly by strong growth in its electric fan business within the ventilation technology sector and that this growth was generated organically without acquisitions.

While ZA's ventilation business benefited from in-house production of composite materials, investment in sophisticated tools allowed ZA to achieve complex geometries in synthetic material fans. Key business sectors were in retrofitting of equipment into existing and established industrial buildings in Germany and elsewhere – although in developing countries it centred mainly on new building construction.
