Schmitz Cargobull Telematics passes audit by the TÜV for transportation of pharmaceuticals

Germany – Schmitz Cargobull Telematics, a division of the Horstmar-based trailer and body builder, Schmitz Cargobull AG, has achieved GDP (Good Distribution Practice) certification for its telematics systems. The GPD audit was carried out by independent engineering testing concern, TÜV, and the certification is valid for two years.

Schmitz, explaining the importance of this certification, said pharmaceutical customers, which are required to demonstrate the safety of their processes in GDP audits every year, now have a certified partner at their side in the transport sector. Marco Reichwein, Managing Director of Schmitz Cargobull Telematics, said: “We have passed the GDP audit for our TrailerConnect unit and the telematics service portal with flying colours.”
