By Jim Gibbins - 1st March 2019

USA - Blue Bird Corporation of Fort Valley, Georgia, has upgraded the specification of all its school buses equipped with air suspension to include electronic stability control (ESC) and reversing camera systems as standard equipment.

Blue Bird first introduced ESC to customers in 2015 – a first for the US school bus market at the time. The well-proven technology - recognised as a major contributor to collision mitigation, preventing rollover incidents and maintaining vehicle control on wet, icy or loose road surfaces - is now seen as an essential inclusion to standard fitment. Blue Bird's ESC systems are supplied by Bendix.
