Daimler Buses increases sales in 2018 by 2,200 units

GermanyDaimler Buses has reported major sales growth, selling 30,900 buses and chassis worldwide, which is an increase of 2,200 units compared with 28,700 units in 2017.

Daimler Buses attributed its growth to sustained high demand for complete buses, the slowly recovering Brazilian economy and to growth in India, as major contributors to its performance. Daimler Buses was also able to maintain its position as market leader in its core markets of EU30 (EU, Switzerland and Norway), Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Return on sales was reported as 5.9%, lower than in 2017 of 6.2%, but in line with targets, the company stated.
