Hino to build new integrated regional truck plant in Thailand

Japan / Thailand - Hino Motors Ltd of Tokyo, Japan, a Toyota Group Company, plans to invest JPY11.5bn (USD105m) in a new integrated research and development (R&D) centre and production hub in Thailand, with construction set to begin in July 2019.

The new integrated plant is to be built on a 400,000 sq m plot in the Asia Industrial Estate Suvarnabhumi in Bang Bo, Samut Prakan Province just East of Bangkok. It is to be managed by Hino Motors Manufacturing (Thailand) Co Ltd (HMMT), which is 80% owned by Hino Motors and 20% by Mitsui & Co.
