Thailand / Sweden – Scania AB of Södertälje, Sweden inaugurated a new THB800m (USD26m) assembly plant in Thailand in February, as it looks to expand its presence in the region’s truck and bus market.
The new facility, located in the Bangkok Free Trade Zone in Samut Prakan province, is to manufacture truck cabs and assemble complete trucks and bus chassis’ for sale domestically and for export to markets across the region.
