Brazil / Chile - Carbuss Industria Catarinense de Carrocerías Ltda* of Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil, which operates under the Busscar brand name, is targeting both domestic and export markets in order to ramp up production and sales in 2019.

In 2018, Busscar, in its first year of production since its relaunch by Caio, produced around 70 units. Many of these bodies were exported to Chile to multiple bus operating companies through Vivipra, the representative of the Brazilian brand in Chile. The models that were most ordered by Chilean operators were the Vissta Buss 340 (42 seats) and Vissta Buss 360 single high deck touring coaches and all on Mercedes-Benz chassis; there has also been orders for larger models such as the Vissta Buss DD (double-deck) coach.
