Irizar to supply ten next generation ie Buses to Düsseldorf

Spain / Germany – Irizar E-Mobility of Aduna, Spain the dedicated electric transportation division of the Irizar Group, has signed a contract for ten Irizar ie bus 12m electric buses with operator, Rheinbahn in Düsseldorf, Germany. It was one of the biggest tenders for electric buses in Germany in the last 12 months and a major win for the Spanish company.
The Irizar ie buses for Düsseldorf are to be of a new generation of the model which has been operating in several cities since 2014, that will be presented to the market at the end of this year. Featuring the latest technological innovations, it boasts a weight reduction of 10% to the current ie bus model, Irizar states, and offers an improvement in passenger capacity. It can seat 34 passengers with a two-door configuration and provide three wheelchair bays. Total passenger capacity is for 74.
