Produced in Spain, the BYD-Castrosua 12-metre eBuses have been built on the BYD electric chassis with Castrasua 'Nelec' electric bus bodywork.

The Dutch OEM has introduced significant enhancements to its new generation truck series, focusing on three key areas: efficiency, safety, and comfort.

Karsan has acquired 100% of Spanish dealership, E-buskar, expanding its presence in the Spanish market. By integrating E-buskar into its operations, Karsan plans to enhance its collaboration with dealers in public transportation sales, after-sales services, spare parts, and used vehicles.

The truck charging location is being built near two major trans-European networks: the Mediterranean corridor, which connects southern Spain to Hungary; and the Atlantic corridor, connecting Portugal with northern France.

T&BB spoke with Andrew Blundell, Managing Director at Irizar UK and Julie Hartley, Sales Director of Irizar UK who told us that the company is moving forward with plans to establish a new head office near Blyth, in Nottinghamshire.

The order consists of fifty ‘S.BO Express’ semi-trailers with dry freight bodies and twenty-five dollies which connect a pair of trailers to create an extra-long truck-trailer combination (up to a maximum length of 31.5 metres).

EVM UK, now with the Ferqui brand added to its portfolio, the company now represents a total of nine European mini and midi bus and coach brands.

This model signifies the expansion of the company’s product offering into the intercity market.

Details on the bus specs are sparse at this point but we will be sure to update our readers once we have more details.

The vehicle was first debuted on the Irizar stand at Solutrans 2023, hosted in Lyon. These trucks were produced at the new truck production plant in Lazkao, Spain. 

Already based in Seville, the company, over the next twelve months, will move into a new 36,000 square-metre facility, of which 14,000 square-metres is warehouse space with a 2,500 square-metre office.

Cojali plans to bring its latest diagnostics and telematics systems from its brand, Jaltest Telematics, to Automechanika 2024, set to be hosted in Frankfurt from September 10 – 14.
