Ashok Leyland wins major bus order from Gujarat State

India - Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai has won an order for 1,290 buses from GSRTC (Gujarat State Roadways Corporation).

Sanjay Saraswat, senior vice-president, Global Buses, Ashok Leyland Ltd, said: “With this order, our order book for State Transport Undertakings is upwards of 3,000 buses (in 2018-19). This is a testament to the reliability, durability and robustness of our buses. The cost of ownership and the product experience which we can deliver is the best in the industry.”
