AxleTech collaborates with Agility Fuel Solutions for battery technology in commercial vehicle electric powertrains

USA – AxleTech of Troy, Michigan in March announced it had entered into a strategic agreement with Agility Fuel Solutions1 of Costa Mesa, a global provider of clean fuel solutions for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, to produce and deliver highly refined vehicle controls systems for advanced electric vehicle (EV) powertrains.
As part of this strategic alliance, Agility said it would contribute high-voltage, liquid-cooled, lithium-ion battery packs specifically engineered for the intensive demands of commercial vehicle applications – details of these battery packs were released at ACT 2019 in California last month. Modular in design, these batteries, Agility claims, are the lightest and most compact liquid-cooled battery packs available for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
