Italy - FPT Industrial, part of CNH Industrial NV, revealed new engines alongside the recent launch of the new Iveco Daily minibuses. The F1A engines, 2.3 and 3.0 litre, available also in CNG versions, are compliant with Euro 6-D Temp & Euro VI-D emission standards and due for introduction in September 2019.

The engines deliver power from 116p to 210hp and are built at the FPT plant in Foggia, Italy, which produces around 300,000 units annually. In order to meet new emissions requirements the F1 series has adopted an external cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), as its best solution on Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) applications to minimise vehicle dimensions constraints. This allows the new Daily to comply with the regulation both on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) and on Real Driving Emissions tests (RDE).
