Hübner acquires GWU Group – a materials solution company

Germany – Articulation systems specialist, Hübner GmbH & Co KG of Kassel has added to its product portfolio for the bus and rail industries with the acquisition of Gummi-Welz GmbH und Co KG (GWU Group) of Neu-Ulm, a producer of rubber sealing, insulation and isolation materials and glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) products for the transportation industry.
The purchase is the largest acquisition in the history of Hübner, the family-owned company stated, and the acquisition greatly strengthened its position in the business segment of Material Solutions. GWU has more than 500 employees working in five different European locations; three in Germany (Neu-Ulm, Schifferstadt, Hennigsdorf), one in Poland and another in Turkey.
