USA - Nikola Motor Company of Phoenix, Arizona has bought some 400 acres in Coolridge, Arizona, where eventually it plans to build hydrogen-electric Class 8 trucks. Nikola stated the project would bring approximately 2,000 jobs to the region by 2024.

Remarking on the purchase, Britton Worthen, Nikola’s chief legal officer, said: “We are excited to have Pinal County and the city of Coolidge as the future home of our manufacturing facility. Both the County and the city have been extremely helpful as we work to make this project happen. We are also grateful to Saint Holdings for their support of our vision on this ground breaking endeavour.”
