Record order for Daimler Buses of 56 eCitaro buses

GermanyEvobus GmbH has received a record order for 56 Mercedes-Benz eCitaro electric urban buses from Wiesbaden-based ESWE Verkehrsgesellschaft GmbH. The deal also contracts Mercedes-Benz for the adaptation of the service yard, the equipment and setting up of charging infrastructure, as well as the charging management process itself.

Ulrich Bastert, Head of Marketing, Sales and Customer Services at Daimler Buses, said: "Wiesbaden's invitation to tender shows the systemic challenges involved in the introduction of e-mobility, which we are happy to play a part in."
