Russian trailer market edges 4% higher in first quarter 2019

Russia – According to Russian Automotive Market Research, in the first three months of 2019 sales of new trailers and semi-trailers in Russia increased by 4% to 6.56 thousand.

The share of the market leader, Schmitz brand, dropped to 12.2% with sales amounting to 0.8 thousand units. Meanwhile, Tonar increased its share to 9.9%. The share of Krone that joined the top three brands in sales amounted to 6.1%. In Q1 the sales of new trailing equipment of Tonar and Krone amounted to 0.65 thousand and 0.4 thousand units respectively.
