Sales in Q3 totalled 13,627 units compared with 10,828 units.

Q3 tractor unit sales totalled 16,490 units compared with 17,025 units.

Sales of medium and heavy rigid trucks (7.5t GVW and above) in India declined to 60,215 units in Q3 (63,469).

Minibuses (GVW ≤ 5t, with fewer than 13 seats) recorded a 26.8% increase in sales.

The British bus and coach market saw massive growth of 70.1% from 4,932 in 2023 to 8,390 registrations in 2024; the best annual performance since 2008, according to statistics published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The post-pandemic growth of the British truck market ended in 2024, with registrations of heavy goods vehicles (i.e., trucks >6t) falling by 2.7% compared with the year before, according to statistics published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The truck market registered 2847 vehicles, an increase of 3.7% on 2746 units in 2023.

Eduardo Freitas, vice president of Anfavea, said: “We had a special year in 2024 for bus and coach chassis production, with the 34.7% increase was driven by the urban segment, which grew 41.3%, and the intercity segment, which grew by 5.4%.”

The data by ANFAVEA shows truck production up by 40.5% in 2024, and that bus and coach chassis output rose by 34.7% when compared with 20,598 units in 2023.

Vehicle production also saw a rise of 13.8% in the first half of FY 2024-25.

Production saw a more significant decrease of 13.7%, dropping from 37,014 units to 31,938 units.
