Van Eck Trailers acquired by Talson Trailers

The Netherlands / TurkeyVan Eck Trailers B.V. of Beesd, The Netherlands, a family-run trailer builder with a history exceeding 100 years (est. 1912) has been acquired by Talson Trailers B.V. of Venlo, also of the Netherlands. Van Eck, which produces high quality, innovative and sustainable specialty trailers, became a subsidiary of Talson Trailers B.V. on April 1, 2019. Talson Trailers stated Van Eck would continue with the same management team and would maintain its production, sales and after-sales operations in Beeds.

Talson Trailers also stated, itself and Van Eck Trailers both have been at the forefront of innovation in roller-bed trailers for air cargo supply services and in double deck trailers for specialist applications since the 1980s and that R&D in these two trailer types still remained the driving force of both companies. Talson, in a statement said: “Integration of Talson’s resources, quality, customer-centric innovation and Van Eck’s “Eckcellence” (product range) will benefit Netherlands’ economy, its employees, customers and suppliers in the special trailers industry in reaching the goal of EU sustainability targets.”
