Hino joins Toyota, Honda and Softbank in mobility service partnership

JapanHino Motors Corporation of Hino-shi, Japan (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation) has agreed to join the Monet Technologies Corporation partnership between Toyota, Softbank and now also Honda of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, which is focused on the development of new mobility technologies and services including autonomous driving.

The JV was first established last year between Toyota and Softbank as a “united Japan” response to rising global competition in mobility services from other key automotive technology centres such as Europe, USA, South Korea and China.
