South Korea - The Governement of South Korea has set itself the ambitious target of switching the country’s entire fleet of medium and heavy commercial vehicles to fuel-cell energy by 2035, as it looks to reduce air pollution in the country – particularly fine-dust.

Officials at the Ministry of Transport said they are looking for all medium and heavy commercial vehicles, including off-highway and construction machinery, to make the switch to hydrogen fuel-cell technology. Hydrogen-powered trains are also expected to be commercialized from 2025, with basic R&D and trial runs expected to be completed by 2022!
