Thailand - Sales of pickup trucks and derivatives rose by more than 12% to 132,705 units in the first quarter of 2019 from an already buoyant 118,252 sales in the same period of last year, driven by strong consumer sentiment and rising incomes.

Toyota retook the lead in this segment after sales of its Hilux-based models rose sharply by over 40% to 49,371 units from 35,221 units in the same quarter a year earlier, while Isuzu lost ground with sales of its D-Max-based trucks rising by just 2.7% to 41,607 units.
