Alstom starts series production of Aptis electric bus

France - With its first electric bus orders having taken place to Strasburg last December, series production has started for Alstom’s purpose-designed full electric 12m Aptis city buses at its two factories near Alsace in Hangenbeiten and Reichshoffen.

The company, Alstom, has a contract to supply 12 units to Strasburg, seven more to Grenoble and with RATP in Paris, to supply up to 250 fully electric vehicles - with definite orders confirmed for 50.
