Caetano Group to launch second generation electric bus chassis at Busworld

Portugal – Caetano Group¹ of Gaia, Portugal is planning to launch its second-generation electric bus chassis at Busworld 2019 in Brussels in October, according to Kohei Umeno, business development at CaetanoBus at UITP 2019 in Stockholm, last month.
Umeno said currently Caetano Bus electric city bus product range consists of a fully built model, the e.CityGold 12m bus, which it is selling currently only in its home markets. Launched in 2017, it delivered its first 30 units the following year in 2018, with a further 20 up for delivery this year. The fully built electric bus is currently available with plug-in CCS Type 2 charging only but, from the end of 2019, it plans to offer roof mounted pantograph charging.
